Bugs, Pet Grads, My Newest Wizard, & Crafting Madness!

So, I haven't been able to post much lately because I have been very busy! And rather than go into too much depth through words, that would take so much of your time, I thought I would just show you pics on what the family had been up lately and tell a little about them.

___________________________________________________

First off I have a new brother, his name is Elie SunCaster. He is Balance, and currently level 5. We were not going to add another to the family but a friend talked us into adding this kid, saying how good of a learner he is, etc. He definitely has potential, but he is going to have some slow going too because he is waiting to travel with some other friends before continuing past level 6, and even then, his journey may be a long one. So don't expect to hear too much about him again soon. But here he is anyway:

First Day

Level 5: Yes, we told him his colors were especially bright, but he promised to tone them down as he gains level. As you can see he also, already, has a small army of pet friends. His Krokotillian will be accompanying him most of the time, though, as it gives balance accuracy and that great low-level spell.

Ok next, it has been crafting madness with Gabi & Winterbane. Here is what they have been up to:

Kitchen Shelf Stand, crafted.

Kitchen Shelf Stand

Cuckoo Clock Crafted
Cuckoo Clock; yes, above my head! This item seems to place extremely high on walls. The little white speck you see is actually the Cuckoo coming out of the clock :)

Jar of Mushrooms Crafted. (Jar of Mandrake was also crafted, but not pictured here)

Ingredient Shelf Crafted.
Ingredient Shelf, Jar of Mandrake, and Jar of Mushrooms,(along with Jar of Bat Wings, which is a dropped item.) I really LOVE that this shelf has labels; very cute!

Kitchen Shelves Crafted.
Kitchen Shelves
Kitchen Ware Pots(Above my Head.)

Kitchen Ware Rack(wish I had some pots and pans I could hang on it too ;-) )

Gabi here! And I have been hard at work in the little time I do get to have! Some of the items I crafted before Winterbane or Emerald even did! Emerald decided not to show her's, as she is giving her items to Jade for a semi-secret project they are working on! ^_^

Here is what I have made, though:

My Own Cuckoo Clock, which I made before Winter made her's. Emerald was visiting at the time :)

Lattice Cherry Pie, which every Mother should have in her Kitchen! (Winter visiting) Emerald has made this as well, and Winter will when she feels like it. She says she has all the reagents, but looking into other projects first.

Kitchen Ware Pots(shelf) to the left. Again, I made it first...lol
Left: Kitchen Cabinet. Middle: Kitchen Shelf Unit.

Now for recent pet Grads:

Alric's Guardian Dragon, Queen Whiskers.

Alric's Satyr, Sam, gains Health Gift(this seems popular among the family's Satyrs!

Winterbane's Colossus

Jadeblade's Defender Pig, Louie.

Luis' Burnzilla. He has reached Epic and is now giving +5% Fire Attack Boost, +110 Health, & 9% Global Resistance! We have no idea why he was so tiny in this pic cause he is one seriously Epic Burnzilla!

Sandwalker's Crabling gains Balance Accuracy!

Savannah's Colossus.

Keira's Defender Pig, Miss Gracie.

The now famous Prince Taz, Emerald's youngest Stormzilla.

Keira's Brown Spider, Gus.

Jadeblade's Brown Spider, Miss Spencer.

Kaitlyn's Aqua Dragon.

Another short bit on how I LOVE BUGS!...

Keira and I were helping a friend get through the end of Marleybone one night. When we went to Counterweight West we got the bug with Old Smokey standing there as soon as our friend entered. I am thinking this is something that *maybe* happens to people who haven't been through yet, and only rarely as it didn't happen to the Twins.

Funny thing about this bug is that you enter the instance and you are facing Old Smokey's back, as seen in the first picture here:

After we went ahead and fought Old Smokey we were messing around, running in circles and acting goofy, suddenly we were caught by....invisible enemies!

So we did this a few times, and also discovered during the bug that Old Smokey returns...as do the invisible enemies....

So I ended up with this awesome Open Furnace and a Marleybonian Street Sign for fighting Smokey....

When we headed to Big Ben, still messing around....I noticed this mark on the back of the cat....some will say it looks like a tear...but we think it sort of looks like a spider...

Well, this is all the news for now...hope you are all having a great weekend!

Grads, & Another One of Those Great Glitches I LOVE!

So, this past evening a I had a couple pets graduate on up to their next level...

First up is Keira's Satyr, Tyson(cause he loves chicken THAT much...lol.) He ended up giving her Health Gift, which is very awesome! Both Keira's Defender Pig and her Satyr have this skill, so by the time they both top out she won't be gaining or losing much(health-wise) when she switches between them.....that's my guess anyway.

Next up we have Taryn(my Myth GM, her Orthrus went up  and is now giving Myth-proof. Not as useful as I would like, but not the worst thing either.

Now for the great glitch of the night...

I was with Edward, The Pet Master, when his Hydra appeared to be gigantic. Here are a few still shots and then a video to follow...

Then my friend Sean Emeraldweaver from Modern Auto Magic took this picture of us in Sunken City. Looks like Taz kinda took over the world here...Get 'em Taz!

Maintenance tonight...*wonders if there will be any surprise or if it's just maintenance as usual*

Catching Up...And Vampires Rise Again + More Changes Found!

Anyone who has read this blog for a while knows I am a fan of the show on SyFy, Merlin.
Last night the DVR decided to cut me off on it 16 minutes in, because it was too full. So I looked up my old, reliable source so I could watch what happened...since SyFy(for some unknown reason) doesn't have this show available in replay. I found that my old source has the BBC version and they are, of course, ahead of the U.S. So I was able to watch not only last night's episode, but also the two to come in the next couple weeks.

I have to say it is truly intense and Epic(and not in the silly, common "epic" sense that so many over use that word for now.) Things have really gotten interesting on that show, so I hope they can keep making it and having it on SyFy.

As I watched it I felt like I was slipping back into one of my Dragonlance books; where I could feel totally emersed in it to the point where one almost feels like they are at a renaissance festival and the sweet smell of incense fills the air, candles light rooms instead of electric lights, and people actually might remember what chivalry is and are polite to each other and welcoming....like stepping into a tavern of the time, sitting down with other travelers and listening to tales of their adventures, and sharing your own.

If you are into fantasy, castles, dragons, knights, magic(and I would guess you were somewhat into magic if you are reading a Wizard101 blog,) then you really should check out the next couple episodes of Merlin, on SyFy on Friday nights.

-----------------------------------------------------

I was able to get the Vampire Twins out for a bit tonight. I twas nice to go back and do some quiet 2-box play with the two lower level wizards. They finally got to do the Ironworks and have now finished Newgate Prison(along with side quests.) I found some new things on the quests too. At the Ironworks the door to where Pops O'Leary is hiding out now slides instead of disappears. Also, the quests "Street Sweeping," "Behind Bars," and "Thick with Thieves" now only require you to defeat 4 of each enemy, instead of 8. Boy, the newbies really got it easy these days, don't they? I mean slow robots, a way around part of the clockworks on Chelsea, shorter towers, and less enemies to defeat on the streets?...Wow, you new folks got it made! One bad thing about it; you are going to have to go back and defeat a lot more enemies to get badges...if you want the badges...cause now you are not forced to have to defeat so many enemies! Also, it may slightly alter the timing of certain events and levels due to not earning quite as much XP from battles. I know,
I know; you don't earn much XP from battles, but every little bit counts too!

One other little thing I notice: now when you level up not only does your pet energy top out again, but so does mana(not just health)!

I also had a weird glitch happen. I had Esmee go into battle and had Val port in and when he did his screen froze up, so I had to shut it down. When I started it back up and Val was back in action, his health crystal was all messed up looking....as if he had died...and he obviously hadn't. Also, I don't know if this is new...because I haven't died in forever...but I was told earlier today that the crystal cracks when you die. Here you can also see that the crystal is cracked as well as the numbers are all messed up....

Another little bug that seems to be happening is people freezing in a running motion when they go into battle. Below here you can see John Lifeglen frozen, and below that you can see Fallon Deathslinger frozen too...

There have also been a lot of weird stat bugs. Below is one(sort of random here) that I had one day. I can't remember what happened before I saw this, but it was just weird, take a look at Keira's resistance there....
And for you number junkies; do you notice something funny about those negative numbers in both Keira's resistance and in Val's cracked globe? It's the same pattern of numbers
(-214748...and possibly continues to 36 and so on.) I wonder where that comes from?

Maybe with the Shadow Weavers of Celestia coming it is appropriate that we have these type of bugs as well...but at least these ones are fun/funny. I am not looking forward to seeing giant bugs walking the streets in a place that should have been beautiful. I will hope it's not THAT BAD. I really don't need more ugly and boring worlds like DS.

Stormzilla Maxed Stats...

So, yeah, this past day my Zilla, Taz maxed out on stats and I started training him a little after the max took place. After you hit max stats it pretty much stinks. It's like you are doing all this work for nothing. At best you will only get 2xp per training game. You will get 1xp for playing an awesome or perfect game and then you can get 1xp for feeding your pet a food that it either likes or loves. You will want to get the cheapest food for your pet's school(or one you are certain your pet at least likes) at this point and feed it to him/her. Using any better foods will be a total waste. I'm sure this isn't news to some, so I am just letting those who don't know know what to expect.

The slow climb to Epic:

What I am hoping....
I am hoping that KI will be either coming out with some way we can buy something to give more XP to maxed stat pets, and preferably not something that takes half or a full gift card to pay for it. OR; I hope when Celestia comes out that there may be some way, there, that we will be able to get our pets to gain more XP. I am really hoping that there is a good reason why the XP gain is so extremely slow at this point, and not just because "it's supposed to be hard." This is a game, things shouldn't be like work on here. There should be some really worthwhile payback for doing all this training...and so far I have not been very impressed with any of it.

EDIT****....
It's like they read my mind, as well as many others: Overnight they have fixed it so that you can earn your full XP for both games and food! Awesome! Good job KI! :D

While all my friends from other schools are getting added health, accuracy, resistance, etc. from their pets....Taz is giving NOTHING. I am probably hoping for too much by hoping that after all this that once he hits Epic something amazing might happen.

I know, there are a few people out there who have no idea how to empathize with others and only want to spam technical garbage to me. But those people have little right to speak when their pets are not the ones with this problem. If you can't empathize and you aren't hurting in this deal then you have no right to tell me I need to go pay
HUGE hatching costs to make a baby Taz when you didn't have to hatch something in order to get a decent school pet yourself. Is it honestly too much to ask for to have a pet that at least gives SOMETHING just like everyone else's? You don't need to answer that...in fact I don't suggest doing so...cause I don't need your negative opinions.

With all that said, here is what Taz has right now:

On my other wizards I have been working here and there between them all with training. I even did one day with my Orthrus on Taryn because I was trying to get her energy down so I could get her new Myth Leprechauns out of the shared banks....as well as her little herd of Silverback Wildclaws(she and Emeraldflame need to collaborate to start a Silverclaw farm.)

While training Taryn's Orthrus I had a very literally
cool glitch happen, and not just once but every time. I mean it was so neat I started to make it happen just to see it again. It happened in the maze game whenever a ghost would get the pet. You know how a little cube forms around your pet and it's frozen? Well...take a look here:
...That's one big ice cube, eh?...lol

Other than Taz on my main character, I have really been working on Death a lot. Her Wraith, Lord Shadow, is at Ancient level and is at least giving some extra health....cause you know Death really needs
more health....*rolls eyes*....but at least it's doing SOMETHING. He is nearing max stats himself, but still is in a comfortable enough zone where it's not getting too hard to feed him snacks that will be a waste. I have such a huge inventory or snacks now, too, from farming, crafting, and buying that it's hard, sometimes, to even look through them all and find the right one that will help to fill in the gaps left from what the games don't give.

As alternative training pets; on Storm I am working on Storm Serpent, and on Death I have been working on a Dark Sprite just for kicks...ok, yes, I am starting to enjoy being "in the box" sometimes...nice and peaceful in there and you can zone out and listen to your music.

I've really enjoyed Death a bit lately.....it's nice and quiet when I play her, for one thing. I don't have people randomly porting to me(which I
loathe...I mean it's like a mistake anymore if I have my ports on cause God forbid family, close friends, or my alts need to port,) plus I don't have people trying to talk to me in all directions on Death. And it's not that I mind talking to people or seeing them, it's just that few seem to be considerate about it. Maybe it's just that I am older and I expect people to be a little better mannered than this....who knows! I am not the best multi-tasker when it comes to having to control 2-3 wizards in battle and travel and then ALSO having to talk to so many people at the same time.

Other than the peace my Death gets when I play her...I have also been enjoying getting and farming for the newer Death pets. I mean they got some really different and cool pets.
This past evening I got Zombie, finally, from Lokar in the Hall of Valor. Zombie completes all the new pets from Grizzleheim for me. Grizzle has been so much fun to farm too! Like I have said before; I think it's so beautiful there, and I like most of the characters and the music as well.

So, now I have been working on the Tree of Life and so far no luck there except getting the Leprechaun out of the SCC...
I am thinking I might pull out Dani(Danielle Thunderblade...I call her Dani after a old cat of mine that is no longer with us...I always liked the name Danielle or Dani) and Jadeblade later on and work with them....maybe see if Dani's Zilla can get anything a little special, though I almost hope her's doesn't cause that would so not be fair to my main; the wizard that was my first and whom I worked so long and hard on and whom I went through the most with. Emeraldflame deserves a great pet!
